ORDU. Ferrero only bought around 4,000 mt of hazelnuts in the recent shopping round. There is a large gap between the prices buyers and sellers are reckoning with.

Ferrero only able to buy small volumes

In the recent round of purchases, announced in May, Ferrero was only able to purchase 4,000 mt of hazelnuts at most as the price level of TRY 205-230/kg was not attractive enough and the quality parameters were too high. With temperatures on the rise the market is currently closely monitoring the activities of the brown marmorated stink bug. Weather conditions have remained good for crop development so far.

Slim chances of further price declines

Due to the weak trading activities in recent weeks
