ORDU. Although trading is largely subdued in Turkey, the prices for hazelnuts have shifted. The lira, in addition, regained some strength last week.

The farmgate prices have climbed to TRY 20.25 per kg for standard products. While natural hazelnut kernels, 11-13 mm, are trading in a relatively stable range of EUR 7.00 per kg DDP Germany, the limited supplies of small kernels has prompted firmer prices and very different offers for preparations. Hazelnut meal, 0,2 mm, is currently trading at EUR 6.90 per kg DDP Germany.
