ORDU/REUS. Market giant Ferrero has finally announced its purchase prices for this year's hazelnut crop. Export prices are down slightly, and the INC has released new crop estimates.

EU demand remains weak

Commodity prices on the Turkish hazelnut market have remained largely stable over the past week and are now slightly lower at TRY 280-295/kg. Quality differences such as size and kernel ratio continue to have a significant impact on pricing. Demand from the EU remains low and few contracts are being concluded. Export prices have also fallen slightly compared to last week; natural kernels, 11-13 mm, are currently trading at EUR 13.10-13.30/kg DAP Central Europe.
