TMO sales ease the market only temporarily

The TMO sales of raw materials only temporarily eased prices in the Turkish hazelnut market. According to market players, the quantities offered for sale by the state-run organisation were not sufficient to meet demand, as exports also remain at a high level. Last week, 7,604 mt of hazelnuts were exported from Turkey, almost as much as the 7,690 mt shipped in the same week last year. Despite the good export figures this season, some exporters are complaining about a lack of buying interest.
