Mustard seeds: Germany significantly reduces annual imports

OTTAWA/MOSCOW. Estimates for the Canadian crop remain very high. Germany, meanwhile, has noticeably reduced its 2020 imports.

High crop estimates

In their latest report, the experts from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada stick to their previous estimates for the 2021/2022 season: a total of 145,000 mt of mustard seed is expected to be harvested in Canada. This would be significantly above the result of the last season, whereby the higher production is forecast due to the larger acreage.
