The Czech Statistical Office has issued the most recent crop report on Thursday. Poppy seed production is estimated at 29,000 mt, a 24.2% rise over last year and the highest production in recent years. Sunflower kernel prices have risen again in Bulgaria. Traders reckon that price declines are out of the question over the next few weeks. The market situation remains difficult.
