FRANKFURT. Monitoring of the oilseed sector with day-to-day price comparisons.

In the Indian sesame seed market there were again slight price corrections this week and Turkish blue poppy seeds are currently trading lower. Meanwhile, Chinese exporters are reporting rising freight rates for shipments to Europe, which points to higher capacity utilisation. While at the end of August, a container from Dalian, for example, still cost around USD 1,100/FCL, in September the price has risen to USD 1,300/FCL. From October onwards, prices will rise to USD 1,400/FCL.
