FRANKFURT. Monitoring of the oilseed sector with day-to-day price comparisons.

Traders in India report that the market for sesame seeds is firmer this week. Brown flaxseed with a 97% purity is trading nominally higher in norther Kazakhstan this week, at EUR 355-360 per metric tonne FCA. Since trading is still largely subdued in Europe there has been no impact on prices so far. While the blue poppy seed traders in the Czech Republic are currently unable to provide offers since the processors are still closed for Christmas, prices have risen in Turkey because supplies are decreasing.
