Cashews: imports to Germany rise by 4%

HANOI/FRANKFURT. Cashew kernel exports from Vietnam have risen by 20% between January and September. By contrast, howver, exports from India declined to a six-year low.

Export prices are on the rise again

Vietnam exported as much as 326,000 metric tonnes of cashew kernels between January and September, which is an increase of 20.2% over last year. As the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Vientam, however, reports the export value declined by 6% to USD 2.38 billion. In September the export volume, however, declined to 40,000 metric tonnes and the export value to USD 276 million over August, but the average export price rose by 1.8% to USD 6,908 per metric tonne.
