NUR-SULTAN/OTTAWA. Market players reckon that the continuing price decline in the oil market and lower demand will put the prices in Kazakhstan under pressure.

Turn of the year supposed to bring price decline

Although the warehouses are reportedly overflowing in Kazakhstan, many farmers are refusing to sell. Their aim is to drive up prices. Overseas demand should, however, decline over Christmas and the Chinese New Year. The declining in oil prices (soy, rapeseed and palm oil) should also add further pressure to the market in Kazakhstan. The export are therefore expected to decline as January.
