Dried figs: slightly declining demand

AYDIN. Market players in Turkey report a slightly falling demand. Nevertheless, the export rate is quite respectable. Buyers have to be prepared for large price ranges.

Export continues at full speed

Exporters are currently busy processing the contracts concluded at the beginning of the season in order to deliver the goods before Christmas and New Year if possible. The export volume is currently 3,000 metric tonnest larger than last year. At USD 4,157 per metric tonne, the average export price for whole dried figs is considerably lower than last year's price of USD 4,411 per metric tonne.
