MALATYA. Trading is largely subdued for the time being. There have, however, been some changes in price. The market situation is expected to change in the second half of the season.

Exports nearly on par with last year

At 41,500 metric tonnes the exports from Turkey are nearly on par to last year’s 41,979 metric tonnes. Since the average export prices for whole dried apricots ranges lower than last year, at USD 2.75 per kg, demand has risen nominally this season. Exports are now coming to a standstill in the run up to Christmas and new year.
