SEEHEIM-JUGENHEIM. In a new weekly column, Mundus Agri deals with worldwide problems and their corresponding solutions. Readers are also asked to contribute to the column.

The coronavirus crisis is a great challenge for all of us and there is probably no one who is not affected in any way. Much is in flux and between all the negative things we are currently confronted with, there are also many opportunities to improve things permanently. Whether it is the economy with a restructuring of jobs, the traffic situation, environmental protection or personal happiness - times of crisis are the ideal time to bring about lasting change. What are the jobs of the future? What is necessary to be really happy, and above all: what is not?

Many of these aspects are also very important to us at Mundus Agri and we have made it our task to work out sensible solutions. At the moment the media are mainly looking at the situation in a problem-oriented way and point out grievances without offering suggestions for improvement. Since we do not consider this to be very useful, we have developed our own concept. Michael Gütlich, CEO of the Dedere Deutschland GmbH and the associated News Community Trading Platform Mundus Agri, explains the intention: "Mundus Agri sees itself as a Green IT company. A fantastic mix of people of all nationalities and ages work here. Mundus Agri is a system in which everyone should participate. Of course, we have to meet certain requirements in terms of quality standards, but ethical standards and the environmental aspect are just as important to us. We act globally and when the world suffers, we feel the effects to a great extent. Because even though we are all in the same boat, the financial resources in particular are distributed extremely unfairly worldwide. We want to raise people's awareness and also make them think - is it really consumption that makes people happy? On my business trips I met people who live in very simple conditions and yet seemed to be so much happier than we do in our hectic consumer society. In our actions we concentrate on what every human being needs worldwide, namely food. And since we reach many people all over the world, we also want to draw attention to the other things that are important to us. Because together, we have the chance to make the world a healthier place again - and we want to do our part to make this happen."

In a weekly column we would like to deal with one problem topic at a time, form an opinion on it and at the same time consider what solutions would be possible. We also hope for a lively exchange with our readers, because your opinion is important to us and new food for thought is always welcome!
