CHRUDIM. With the aim of boosting demand, Czech blue poppy seed traders have made further price adjustments this week.

Compared to last week, blue poppy seed prices have declined significantly. In view of the very large production volume of 29,000 mt, in addition to the comparatively low demand, this was the only option left to the market players to bring momentum back into the market.

Czech blue poppy seeds, <20 ppm morphine in big bags are already available from EUR 1.85/kg FCA, goods in 25 kg bags should be available for about EUR 1.90/kg FCA Czech Republic. Prices have only been at this level twice in the past three years f
