Cashews: first crop estimates from Vietnam

HANOI. The Vietnam Cashew Association has issued a first forecast for the RCN crop in 2021. In addition, the association calls for investments in modern technologies.

Export increases being planned

As reported by the Vietnam Cashew Association (Vinacas), the country's cashew exports reached a turnover of USD 3.188 billion in 2020, accounting for 8.2% of the export turnover of the entire Vietnamese agricultural sector. The export plan of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development foresees further increases in 2021: With 3.6 billion USD, the turnover is to be increased by another 12.9%.
