FRANKFURT. Monitoring of the oilseed sector with day-to-day price comparisons.

Sluggish demand is keeping the prices for sunflower bakery kernels at bay in Bulgaria, despite a surge in raw material prices prompted by a supply squeeze. The situation is more diverse in the blue poppy seed market. Exporters in Turkey have raised their prices, while traders in the Czech Republic are having difficulties selling their supplies. The warehouses are full. Suppliers have again cut their prices and a rise in prices appears to be out of the question this season. Traders reckon that prices will at best remain firm.
