Extortionate prices for shipments by truck

The coronavirus crisis has been putting a dent on shipments to Turkey for some time now. This is having a serious backlash for transport. Issue is that containers for prompt shipments are lacking in the ports and shipments by truck have become increasingly expensive. Delivery costs have risen from EUR 3,500 to EUR 5,000 per truck since the start of the season. The TMO has, meanwhile, not provided any details on the further course of action this season.
