OTTAWA/NUR-SULTAN. In the Kazakh flaxseed market, there is disagreement about the remaining commodity supplies, while at the same time market players report increasing interest in goods from Canada.

New Year celebration reduce demand from China

Shortly before the Chinese New Year, the Kazakh flaxseed trade is slowing down due to lower enquiries. In the weeks before, buyers from China had still ordered a few positions. However, the logistical problems at the loading stations near the border have still not been solved. According to market players, farmgate prices of EUR 500-515/mt FCA Kazakhstan are being called at origin, but there is disagreement about the remaining supplies.
