Sesame seeds: December imports slumped by 80%

NEW DELHI. In December 2020, fewer shipments of sesame seeds from India to Germany were recorded than at any time in decades. Meanwhile, prices remain firm at the current level.

Stable prices for EU shipments

In the Indian sesame seed market, there is currently not enough demand to support further price increases, but also lower prices are hardly foreseeable due to the overall higher costs for analyses and freight rates for shipments to the EU.
