GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

At a recently organised summit in Udaipur, market players' assumptions that sowings for the coming crop will be lower than last year were confirmed. In Gujarat, 15-20% less cumin is reported to have been sown, while in Rajasthan the decline is estimated at 10-15%. Since the end of the lockdown in India, domestic demand has picked up, especially from restaurants and hotels.
