SOFIA. Continuing rains have furthered delayed sunflower seed sowing in Bulgaria. Although the growers would like to...

...start sowing, prospects are anything but encouraging as more rain has been forecast over the next ten days. Issue is that it is simply too wet for the growers to start sowing and everything will depend on the weather in the next few days. The situation is also not better in Romania as the Price Reporting Agency (PRA) AgriCensus reports that sunflower seeds need to be imported from Argentina for the first time ever. A shipment over 35,000 mt left Argentina for Romania last week and another over 60,000 mt is to follow soon.
