… the already significantly delayed sunflower seed sowing. Despite the initial problems, the conditions are currently ideal; thanks to the regular rainfall, the fields have optimal soil moisture. In the coming weeks, the plants will need sufficient rain and sunshine in alternation in order to thrive. At the end of May, it should be possible to make a first preliminary assessment of the condition and yield potential of the Bulgarian sunflower seed crop in 2021.
