MALATYA. After government experts have assessed the growing regions, market players are now waiting for the official estimates for the new crop. These should be released within the next two weeks.

Raw materials in short supply

Turkish exporters are eagerly awaiting the official crop estimates from the government, which are expected in the first half of June. In the past weeks, experts had visited the growing regions and inspected the apricot trees. In the meantime, outstanding orders are being processed, which sometimes proves to be a challenge due to the shortage of raw materials on the Turkish market. For this reason, farmgate prices can also vary significantly depending on the supplier and the new season will be started without surplus stocks.
