Dried apricots: prices increase significantly

MALATYA. As there are almost no more goods available on the market, the prices for Turkish dried apricots are rising noticeably. In the meantime, the sale of the first fresh apricots of the new crop has started.

Harvest has started

Market players in Turkey report that the apricot harvest has started in Malatya and that the first sales of fresh fruit have already been concluded. They expect that next week all growing regions should start the harvesting process as well as the sale of fresh apricots. Currently, prices are at TRY 15/kg.

On the dried apricot market, no more goods from the old crop are available for sale; only exporters who still have dried apricots in their warehouses can make offers. Prices vary accordingly. Compared to last week, prices
