SANTIAGO/SACRAMENTO. EU countries have significantly reduced their prune imports compared to last year. In California, the fruit are developing on the trees and Chilean farmers are busy with winter maintenance on their plantations.

After the harvest is before the harvest

In May, the 2025 US prune crop was estimated at 70,000 mt. Fruit are currently forming on the trees in California's growing regions. The prunes are usually ripe and ready for harvest between the end of August and the end of September.
