PEKING. Market players are convinced that supplies unprocessed pumpkin seeds from China are still available in the European spot market. Demand is...

...is accordingly low and the interest in the new crop subuded. This mood is expected to persist over the next few weeks.

Old crop has a lot of room for manoeuvre
Reports state that the crop is developing well. Shine Skin production is expected to range 25% higher than last year in Xinjiang. GWS production should be similar in size to last year and supplies from recent years should suffice to meet export demand.

Prompt shipments from China have been tradign firm for weeks. Prices, however, vary by USD 50-200 per metric tonne depending on supplier. The new crop is also trading firm. Shine skin kernels should, however, start to trade lower soon.
