Pumpkin seeds: Chinese exporters are back

BEIJING. After about a week, Chinese pumpkin seed exporters return to the market. In many factories, however, the workers are not expected back until the end of February.

Prices still significantly higher than last year

Just one day after the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations, exporters have resumed trading and work has continued in some factories. Overall, export prices are at a similar level as before the holidays, although there may be slight upward or downward deviations depending on the supplier. Nevertheless, it can be reckoned that some exporters have stocked up sufficiently on raw materials in advance to be able to keep prices at the current level for the time being.
