BEIJING. Although Shine Skin production is reportedly up on last year, pumpkin seed suppliers still hesitate to issue offers in China. Farmers remain concerned over the quarantine measures in placeiIn Xinjiang.

Better weather in Xinjiang

Rais have continued in recent days and the first crop damages have been reported in Gansu and Inner Mongolia. Weather conditions have, by contrast, improved in Xinjiang. Problem here rather is that the province is still placed in quarantine, which gives rise to problems especially for truck drivers and their employers. Market players, however, report that the government intends to take action to minimise the impact on trade as farmers may suffer great financial losses.

Trading activities remain subdued
