BEIJING. After the freight cost rally of the past weeks, container prices are beginning to stabilise. Meanwhile, export prices for Chinese pumpkin seeds remain at a multi-year high.

Pumpkin seeds up to USD 1,000/mt more expensive

The Chinese pumpkin seed market still shows only low trading activity, yet prices have stabilised at their high level. Already at the end of December, prices for shine skins, Grade A had climbed to around USD 3,000/mt CFR Hamburg and are thus almost USD 150/mt higher than last year's price and more than USD 1,000/mt above the price level at the beginning of January 2019.
