BEIJING. Freight costs for container shipments from China to Europe remain at the high level of last week. At the same time, market players report price adjustments for Shine Skin kernels.

Farmgate prices decline

Chinese pumpkin seed traders had to adjust their Shine Skin offers to the market situation this week. As was to be expected, the rising prices met with increasingly less acceptance from buyers and the explosion in freight costs did the rest to reduce export demand. Despite the massive price increase in the international sunflower seed market, these are a popular substitute product for the even much more expensive pumpkin seeds.
