Pumpkin seeds: GWS kernels are sold out

BEIJING. Growers have reportedly sold all of their GWS pumpkin kernels by now. The demand for Grade A seeds is so good that the first suppliers have stopped offering for the time being.

Farmers run out of GWS kernels

Prices have stabilised in the Chinese pumpkin seed market. Farmgate prices for pumpkin seeds, shine skin are currently at CNY 17.50/kg. Market players report high demand for grade A kernels, which is why some traders are currently refraining from making long-term offers as availability cannot be guaranteed. Instead, mixed grade goods are increasingly being offered, with the share of grade AA kernels at a good 60%.
