BEIJING. Raw kernel prices have driven up export prices in China's pumpkin seed market. Attion is, meanwhile, shifting towards sowing.

Sowing is decisive

High raw kernel prices coupled with high cargo rates have driven up export prices bit by bit. Grade AA GWS pumpkin kernels are partly trading as high as USD 4,000/mt FOB Dalian. More reasonable prices rather range at USD 3,750-3,790/mt CFR Hamburg. Grade A GWS kernels cost USD 3,530-3,640/mt and Grade A Shine Skins USD 3,350-3,455/mt CFR Hamburg. Such high prices were last seen in January 2016.
