Raisins: export ban exemption

TEHRAN. Iran has exempt raisins form the blanket export ban applying for food products since March. Crop prospects are quite encouraging.

Raisins obtain exemption

As Global Trade Alert states as based on local news reports Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture exempted raisins from the blanket export ban for agricultural products on 20 July. Put in place on 3 March the Ministry has repeatedly added exemptions in recent months, the latest being in July with 15 additional products. Honey, fish and olives, dates, figs, and oranges and potato starch were removed from the ban in April, sausages and similar meat products along with green tea, sumac and chicken feet and bovine semen followed in July.
