Sesame seeds: Buyers have to act fast

FRANKFURT. This week’s dramatic prices increase in India and Africa have now reached the German market. Europe has been taken by surprise.

 

Limited stocks in Germany

The sudden price hike has taken traders in Germany and Europe by surprise. Traders in Germany are now, however, starting to increase their prices. Offers trading below the current CIF Hamburg prices may still be available. Natural sesame seeds, 99.95% are for instance currently trading for 1,38 EUR/kg FCA. Hulled sesame seeds, 99.98 % can be purchased for 1,56 FCA.
