Sesame seeds: Indian traders secure complete tender

NEW DELHI/BRASÍLIA. Indian exporters have successfully participated in the current sesame seed tender. Price reductions are probably only short-lived. In Brazil, acreage is expected to shrink by 10%.

100% goes to India

The current sesame seed tender from South Korea was finalised on Tuesday of this week. The tender totalled a total 13,000 mt of sesame seeds, of which the first 5,000 mt must have arrived in the port of Busan by 20 July and the remaining 8,000 mt by 25 August. Indian exporters succeeded in securing the tender in full; the bid prices per tender were USD 1,431-1,458/mt and USD 1,422-1,465/mt respectively.
