Sesame seeds: South Korea issues February tender

NEW DELHI/SEOUL. After several delays South Korea has finally issued a new sesame seed tender. This has prompted trading to revive in India.

Suppliers in India have high hopes

As the tender was initially intended for January traders had to be very patient. South Korea has now issued a tender over 15,000 mt. Interested parties should register by 23 February and the bids should be in on 24 February. The tender includes three different positions with P1 over 3,000 mt for arrival by 31 March, P2 over 6,000 mt for arrival by 29 April and P3 over 6,000 mt for arrival by 31 May. Suppliers in India have high hopes for winning bids.
