Sesame seeds: South Korea issues new tender

NEW DELHI/BRASÍLIA. Growers in India were able to start Kharif sowing early. South Korea has published a new sesame seed tender. The crop in Brazil is of impressive quality.

Tender about 15,000 mt

The last tender was only a few weeks ago, and South Korea is already issuing a new one. This time, a total of 15,000 mt of sesame seeds are to be purchased, divided into two lots. The June tender had a total volume of 14,000 mt, but only 7,400 mt of sesame seeds were successfully sold. Interested suppliers can register for the tender until 17 June.

South Korea imported a total of 30,281 mt of sesame seeds between January and May 2025, which is 14% more than the 26,624 mt imported in the same period last year. This trend was helped by
