NEW DELHI/BRASÍLIA. Harvesting is underway in some parts of Gujarat and the first volumes have arrived. Farmers are busy sowing sesame seeds in Brazil.

New crop starts to arrive

In India the new summer crop will hit the major spot markets in the next two weeks. Although expectations of another tender have given the export market some support, there is not enough domestic and international demand to sustain the current level when arrivals pick up. Around 1,120 mt of the new crop have already arrived in the state of Gujarat. The India Meteorological Department has predicted hot and humid weather in the Kutch and Saurashtra regions of Gujarat in the next few days. According to the Indian Oilseeds and Produce Expo
