NEW DELHI/SEOUL. In India, the Diwali celebrations are just around the corner. At the same time, South Korea has announced that a new sesame seed tender will take place next week.

First tender in around three months

The last sesame seed tender from South Korea took place several weeks ago and Indian exporters were able to secure almost half of the 10,000 mt tendered. The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation has now announced a new tender through which the country intends to purchase a total of 3,000 mt of standard quality sesame seeds. Bidders can register until 4 November 2024 and the evaluation will take place the following day. Shipments must be received at the port of Busan by 20 December.
