Sesame seeds: New tender awakens market from slumber

NEW-DELHI. It took until the end of March for the first Korean sesame seed tender to be released, and sesame seed distributors can next week try to outdo each other with their bids again.

The May tender
The first reports on the new tender were already circulating last week, with detailed information made available on Tuesday. Korea is planning to purchase a total of 10,000 mt with the next tender, of which 5,000 mt are standard and 5,000 mt are premium quality goods. Exporters can register from 16/05/2018 onwards, with the result announced on the next Friday.
