NEW DELHI/BRUSSELS. Another sesame seed tender is expected in July. This is having an impact on prices. India’s exports have declined compared with last year.

New tender bolsters prices

Sowing continues in India. According to data from the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare at the Indian Ministry of Agriculture, 15,000 ha had been sown nationwide for the Kharif crop by 19 June 2026; in the same period last year, the figure was already 19,000 ha.
