Cumin

As expected by market players, there were slight price declines on the Indian cumin market. Traders are nevertheless optimistic, as demand for Indian cumin is likely to pick up soon due to shrinking stocks in China and supply bottlenecks in other producing countries. India is currently the only major supplier of cumin worldwide, as other growers such as Turkey, Syria, Iran and Afghanistan will not bring their new crop to market until June or July.
