Cumin

Due to weak demand, prices have declined further. The new crop is increasingly arriving on the markets and market players expect the supply to peak after 15 March and export deliveries for the end of March to take place during this period as well. As a very large crop is imminent, the trade does not anticipate strong price increases, even if demand picks up in March. A problem for buyers could be the high moisture content of the new crop. Grade A cumin is currently trading at USD 1,925 per metric tonne.
