Cumin

The new cumin crop is entering the Indian markets in large quantities, putting further pressure on already favourable prices. Although farmers are not currently expecting price increases, they are bringing their produce to market as they urgently need cash. The Holi festival, which is being celebrated this week, brings trade to a standstill for a few days. Cumin prices are receiving some support from good demand from Bangladesh, but even this cannot prevent a decline.
