Cumin

As expected, high demand is ensuring that prices on the Indian cumin market are maintaining their upward trend; European importers in particular are stocking up generously and buyers in Bangladesh have also started buying again. The Indian traders themselves only have small stocks, as 40% of the crop is still in the hands of the growers. They are planning to gradually reduce their stocks in order to stabilise the good prices.
