Cumin

The situation on the Indian cumin market is unchanged from recent weeks; prices have fallen again, but market players are still cautiously optimistic. Export demand remains relatively good and exports have seen significant growth compared to last year. Between April and August, 103,614 mt of cumin were shipped overseas, 61% more than last year. In addition, exporters are offering more favourable prices than the current market prices due to the devaluation of the Indian rupee, which is widening the gap with Chinese prices.
