Cumin

Wholesalers have started buying Indian cumin, resulting in a slight increase in prices compared to last week. Rumours are circulating in the market that China will start purchasing from India as prices here have reached a low point. China is one of the most important export destinations for Indian cumin, but there have been noticeable declines over the past four years; only 39,000 mt of cumin were shipped to China in the 2024/25 season, compared to 103,000 mt in the 2020/21 season.
