The Indian cumin market was volatile last week. Following initially stable prices and a brief rise on local markets, quotations have recently edged down slightly. Although arrivals were low on the spot market in Unjha, at just 5,000 to 6,000 bags per day, traders were reluctant to buy. High stock levels from the previous season, as well as the impact of geopolitical tensions, temporarily weighed on trade.
