Cumin

The Indian cumin market has come under significant pressure over the past six to seven weeks, with prices falling by 8-10%. Nevertheless, market players remain optimistic about the long-term outlook, as the tight supply situation is increasingly outweighing short-term harvest pressures. A 15-20% decline in production is expected for the 2025/26 Indian season. The main cause is a 7% reduction in acreage in the key production regions of Gujarat and Rajasthan, which together account for the majority of Indian production.
