Cumin

According to Indian market players, farmers' cumin stocks are higher than expected; almost 40% of the crop is said to still be in storage, and continuous arrivals on the markets are putting some pressure on spot market prices. In addition, prices for Chinese cumin are very competitive, as they are around USD 50-60/mt lower than Indian goods on the global market. This is affecting export demand, but domestic buying interest among spice companies, as well as retailers and wholesalers, is also lower than usual.
